At our most recent long day, our friendly neighborhood After Care transformed into a world full of tea parties, playing cards, and tardy rabbits. To coincide with the book we have been reading in the lounge during first choice, After Care turned into Wonderland.
The children painted paper roses red, threw their own unbirthday party, and played miniature croquet. They were even greeted by the Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter themselves! (see pictures below)
After a morning of curious fun, everyone hopped on the bus and took a trip to the pumpkin patch. There, the children picked out their very own pumpkin, met some furry friends, and learned all about apple pressing.
After a nice day at the farm, we returned to Ainsworth to watch the original Disney version of Alice in Wonderland and relax until parents arrived.
It was a great day filled with wonder and fall fun, and now we look forward to our upcoming Halloween long days. The three days leading up to Halloween will all be long days at After Care, so head to the reception desk to find the sign up sheets for each day.
