Buckaroo Week

Yeehaw! Buckaroo is back!

It is time once again to don your boots and ten gallon hats, as the annual carnival here at Ainsworth Elementary kicks its spurs and brings children young and old together in a long standing tradition.

Friday afternoon and evening will see the annual Buckaroo Carnival take over the back field and parts of the school. Subsequently, our space for aftercare that day becomes severely limited. Outside, the gym, and the auditorium will all be commandeered by western themed games and booths, meaning our aftercare area will diminish to merely the cafeteria and lounge.

We ask you all, if possible, to make other arrangements on that day for your children, if only to keep our limited space from getting too crowded.

All this week, meanwhile, we have embraced the western theme. Art projects in the lounge and cafeteria feature horseshoes, bandanas, and cacti, while our dramatic play area has transformed into a wild west jailhouse. Feel free to check it out when you come in to pick up your children.

I hope everyone enjoys Buckaroo this year, whether it is your first experience or you went there yourself as a child. Many of our staff will be attending, so we look forward to seeing you all there!
