Tuesday, January 7th – Friday , January 10th – AASEP Fuzzy Party
Our students have earned over one thousand fuzzy tickets! We will be proudly celebrating with a root beer float party for each grade level. Please check the reception area for more information. If you student misses their grade level party they can join another. Alternative snack will be provided for students with allergies.
Monday, January 20th
No School – AASEP Closed!
In observance of MLK Day, the school facilities will be closed.
AASEP will be closed in observance as well.
!Monday, January 27th – No school – AASEP Long Day!
AASEP will be open from 8am – 6pm on January 27th. Sign-ups will be at the reception area starting on Monday, January 13th. Space is limited. More information on rates, what to bring, and day activities can be found on the cover page of the sign-up sheet.
THEME WEEKS
January 6th – 10th – ARCTIC WEEK
Brr, it’s cold outside! WE will make a wide assortment of winter-themed art, including sock snow people, stick snowflakes, snow globes and winter animal art.
January 13th – 17th – PEACE WEEK
AASEP takes pride in our amazingly kind students. During this week, we’ll spread the message of peace with dove garlands, peace charms and bracelets, and peace signs. We will award students with Peace medals. There will be a Peach March on Friday, January 17th at 3:45pm – 4pm.
January 21st – 24th – COLOR WEEK
Each day of the week, students can dress up in the color of the day.
All projects and art will center around the daily color.
Tuesday = Red
Wednesday = Yellow
Thursday = blue
Friday= Purple
January 28th – 31st – PIRATE WEEK
Ahoy matey! Let’s sail the seven seas together with pirate-themed activities.
We will be creating our own names, making eyepatches, foil hooks, drawing treasure maps and even going on a treasure hunt!
We will also have Merfolk Club all week. (No sign-up required).
REMINDERS
AASEP Yoga
Winter yoga is here. $40 for 8 classes with instructor Margo K Lighburn.
Thursdays from 2:15 – 3pm. Begins January 16th. Sign-ups are in-person only, at the reception area. Yoga tuition will be added to February billing.
Outside Activity Release form
If your student is attending a new outside activity, please remember to sign them up on our Outside Activity Release form at the reception area. We cannot release students without written authorization.
Handicap Parking
Please be mindful of the handicap parking spaces on Spring Street when picking up yur students from AASEP.
