As we approach some of our end of the year activities, lets take a look back at another successful Kids Bazaar!
One of the most anticipated days of the year in After Care, Kids Bazaar was held on a beautiful sunny day and went off without a hitch. Our students spent the weeks prior creating loads of hand-made crafts to “sell” at our version of a Saturday Market. The rest of the students walked between booths with bags of sunflower seeds as currency, picking out their favorite crafts to buy and bring home.
Held during our “Shakespeare Week” this year’s Kids Bazaar was greeted by a local theatre troupe, one of the players of the troupe being our own teacher Kaia. Kaia and her fellow actors performed the final scene of Midsummer Night’s Dream, a farcical parody of a play within the play, and the children enjoyed the slapstick and silliness.
