We bugged-out on the last day of Aftercare with ladybugs! Teacher Rebecca brought in ladybugs that we released outside. Equipped with cups and meshed-fabric for lids, students watched, handled and gathered the ladybugs. Once collected the ladybugs were able to be taken home and re-released into student’s gardens to help eat insects. So many of the students loved the ladybugs and it seemed the ladybugs loved us in return- we kept finding them on us throughout the day!
This year of Aftercare went by so fast and we are excited to return after the summer break on Monday, August 29, 2016. Until then enjoy the sunshine, time together, and look forward to another amazing year of Aftercare in the fall!
