THEME WEEKS
March 2nd – March 6th – Authors Week
We’ll be celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss by reading several of his books and doing fun art activities, including the creation of goofy mustaches and Truffula trees, from one of our favorite books, The Lorax. Students will also be guided through the process of writing and illustrating their own stories.

March 9th – March 13th – Sports/Spirit Week
(Basketball Club and Ultimate Frisbee Club)
Students will get to design football helmets, play balloon tennis, create their own trophies, and build mini hockey sticks. We will have Ultimate Frisbee Club outside, from 3:00 to 3:30pm. The focus will be on working as a team. We will also have Basketball Club in the gym, from 3:30 to 4:30pm, where students will build their skills and end the day in a short scrimmage. We will hand out awards for good sportsmanship! Sign-ups are not required for these clubs. Wear your favorite sports team jersey or team colors on Friday, March 13th!
March 16th – March 20 – Fantasy Week (Fairy/Elf Club)
It’s finally here! Fairy and Elf Club is a beloved AASEP tradition where students build tiny houses for our elf and fairy friends to visit each night in the hopes that the miniature creatures will leave behind their magical treasures. Attendees will also make wands, head wreaths, and choose their own fairy/elf names. Sign-ups are not required. Students may attend the club during 2nd choice, 3:30pm-4:30pm in the Lounge.
All projects this week will be based on Celtic mythology.

Every Friday, we will have special Rainbow Loom activities available in the lounge during all choices.
