Here at After Care, we love discovering new talents that some our student might not have even known they had! So, in that spirit, two new after school classes taught through Ainsworth After Care are coming this February! The first is a dramatic theater class and the second will teach some lively jazz dance.
Theater
What: Curtains up on the brand new after school theater class at Ainsworth! Taught by a talented actor and director (and the sister of After Care teacher Kaia )the class will teach second and third graders the introductory basics of the dramatic arts.
Who: This is for second and third graders only, but your child does not need to be enrolled in the Ainsworth After School Program to join.
Where: All of our aspiring thespians will meet at 2:20 downstairs next to the Lost and Found.
When: Classes start at 2:20 on Thursdays, beginning on February 5th and continuing for six weeks.
Jazz Dance
What: Kindergarten and first grade dancers will improve their musicality and flexibility while learning proper jazz walks, turns, leaps, kicks, dance positions, terminology, etc. in an educational, fun, safe environment. Class includes warmup, across the floor, center work, and choreography that will keep the students engaged and give them an opportunity to explore their artistic spirit and build confidence.
Who: This class is open to all children in Kindergarten and first grade. They do not have to be enrolled in the After School Program.
Where: Check in downstairs by the lost and found.
When: Classes start at 2:20 pm on Fridays, beginning on February 6th and continuing for six weeks.
