Peace be upon you everyone! It is Peace Week at After Care, and because of the resounding success of year’s past, we have actually extended Peace Week into two weeks.
We have been busy promoting peace throughout the program, through art projects, poetry, yoga, and even a Peace March! group of students picked up serene signs and paraded through our many areas, spreading a message of non-violence.
Also, our students have been earning Peace Awards. You may have seen the little blue pendants hanging around your child’s neck. These awards are meant to recognize our students for peaceful and thoughtful actions that our teachers notice throughout the day.
There are only a few days left of our extended Peace Week, so make sure to check out some of the inspiring work done by our youngest peace keepers.
